Presence for the Holiday’s

Notice what I did there....”Presence” not “Presents”;) 

 

Here we are full in the Holiday Season, we are right in the meat and potato’s of it.

 

The Holiday’s or just this time in our lives, may look and feel different to you this year. That can bring up unexpected stress, feelings and/or emotions. It’s perfectly OK to feel whatever you are feeling.

 

But there is something that we can lean into that we do every year around this time, that can bring us back to our Presence among still so much uncertainty.

 

How can you cultivate Presence during this Holiday/Winter Season so that you can maybe soak it in and find it’s sweetness, instead of letting our minds wonder onto what we can’t control.

 

Step 1 - Take a moment to find your Breath. 

Step 2 - Feel your feet on the ground, strong and stable.

Step 3 - Open your eyes and look around, to the beauty of the lights, decorations, the snow. Find your sense of Wonder again just like you did when you were a child.

Step 4 - Smile. Throw a smile on your face wherever you go and let it beam so brightly even if you find tears are running down your face. Smiling feels good and why not spread it during a time when we could use a little more Kindness.

Step 5 - Give the gift of telling someone you Love them or how much you appreciate them. It’s Free! Love is the ultimate healer and for some, this is all they desire to know and feel during this time.

 

That is all. Keep it Simple.
